From one aspect, compare computer ENIAC produced in 1946 with a smartphone of 2021
when ENIAC was developed in 1946 it costed about $6,000,000 and it used alot of power and it was very hot but now smartphones costs 17,000 times less than ENIAC and uses 400,000 times less power
The ENIAC computer was one of the basic computers that spread in 1974 and was based on the lowest technologies.
compared to smart phones that depend on the highest technologies and increased its wide global spread among all classes of society
The ENIAC was used for military purposes (in calculations) and used vacuum tubes, did not use transistors as they were not yet invented. while the smartphones are used for multiple purposes and the average mobile phone have around 460 billion transistors
ENIAC was enormous. It occupied the 50-by-30-foot (15-by-9-metre) basement of the Moore School, where its 40 panels were arranged, U-shaped, along three walls. Each panel was about 2 feet wide by 2 feet deep by 8 feet high (0.6 metre by 0.6 metre by 2.4 metres). With more than 17,000 vacuum tubes, 70,000 resistors, 10,000 capacitors, 6,000 switches, and 1,500 relays.
While the smart phone ranges from 5 to 6 inches which is very small compared to the eniac computer and almost has all the features!
ENIAC was the first programmable general-purpose electronic digital computer. It was enormous.
